FileMaker Modal Magic

November 12, 2018

When we talk about dialogs we’re actually talking about windows in the FileMaker sense. They could be a card window, or they could be a regular dialog window, or even a floating window or FileMakers own modal window style. Modal refers to a window state where the window cannot be dismissed without the user explicitly making a decision that will lead to the closing of that window.

Like a Boss: The FileMaker Join Table

November 1, 2018

Knowing how to use a FileMaker Join table ( though not exclusive to FileMaker) can solve many data-model related questions for us. … The join table, as it is commonly called and known, solves the complex problem of how to structure the data model when the entities are related in a many-to-many style. A classic example of these entities includes classes and people. Many people have many classes. A join table joins these two entities together.

And while all of these methods are workable, they tend to have limitations […].

Integration between FileMaker and DocuSign has a number of benefits, including being able to manage the document signing process in one central place from start to finish. You don’t need to give your FileMaker users access to DocuSign as everything is managed from within FileMaker and you have access to the signed documents from FileMaker.

PHP Encryption Methods for Passwords & Other Sensitive Data

September 18, 2018
